Testament...obviously
Testament and Anthrax sure do like touring together.
So much, in fact, that they’re going to keep touring together this fall.
Testament, Anthrax, and Death Angel will keep on touring in September, hitting even more spots across North America.
I guess this latest round of dates represents the second-tier markets, or whatever the fuck they call ‘em. The Boonies.
Those dates follow at the end of this post.
In the meantime, Testament still have a new album coming out soon, which you can read all about here.

Free rock and roll is served this morning by Seattle’s My Goodness who give away their debut UK single and b-side release today.
The band was born when Joel Schneider and Ethan Jacobsen closed a bar one night in January 2010 and went for a late night jam in a nearby practice space. Both were working in iconic/historic Seattle venue Neumos and already in other bands but the duo needed to bust loose.
Their debut single ‘CMon Doll’ and b-side track ‘Lost in the Soul’ featured here were recorded in Red Room Studios, Seattle with producer Chris Common from These Arms Are Snakes who also recorded their debut album scheduled for release in the UK later this year. Everything was recorded to tape – no Pro-Tools, no digital enhancing.

Last year we released the album, “Sympathy” and thanks to you, we had some of our highest points ever: Supporting Two Door Cinema Club at the Vic, our “Love and Leave” Stormtroopers video making a big splash, our first 2 North American tours and so much more.
When we weren’t touring we started writing and focused on a more democratic approach in Northern Minnesota. Secluding ourselves, we were beginning to create a batch of songs that we had a lot of energy behind that was a new direction for the band. We are very excited about this.
Then Dave Newfeld came into the picture. Newfeld, who has produced Broken Social Scene, Los Campesinos! and We Are Augustines to name a few, was introduced to us and ultimately decided to produce our new record. We are extremely excited about this since he has produced some of our favorite albums, including "You Forgot It In The People "(BSS) in 2002.
In April, we will be heading to Toronto, Canada to record with Dave Newfeld, so everything is set to go except…we need your help. Through PledgeMusic, we hope to raise enough money to record the album. We have several exclusives that you can see on the right → These include anything from a signed copy of the new album to songwriting sessions with the band. All pledgers will receive videos of the recording sessions in Toronto, streams of the songs before anyone else and much, much more to show our thanks for supporting the band.

Belgian power metal band Iron Mask, featuring Ex-Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist Mark Boals, posted a new music video for the song "God Punishes, I Kill." The song appears on the band's latest release "Black As Death," which is available through AFM Records.

Music Video: Young Liars- Colours

In between working day jobs as electricians, web developers and cell phone salesmen, Vancouver quintet Young Liars made their debut Homesick Future EP, which dropped this February.
The video for group’s first single, “Colours,” was filmed atop a very special kind of pedestrian bridge in Surrey, BC known as the “Pioneer Cycling and Pedestrian Overpass”. According to a press release, “Illuminated at night, the bridge’s lights are programmed according to the season and in some cases, passing traffic.” Here, the lights pulse along with Young Liars’s infectious brand of dance punk.

I’ve always really liked Woodson’s music when it has popped up on my BandSoup playlist.
They’re Manchester Orchestra-ish if I had to make a quick comparison, but definitely a mysterious (mysterious= lack of info/bio) Ohio outfit with potential. I’m not sure if they are still together (the inactivity on their social networks hint at no), but their debut self-titled album is pretty solid and has a few nice tracks to slide into your rotation. I’d personally recommend the song above, as well as the other three tracks they shared on the mother ship.

Azealia Banks finally dropped her first official document, the 1991 EP, this week. It features fan-favorites "212" and "Liquorice," as well as two new tracks. "Van Vogue" is a Machinedrum-produced stomper of glitzy synths, automatic-weapon rapping and the trademark bully attitude we've come to expect from Banks.

Up next in the whole 'emotive British indie bands that sound fantastic and new while harkening to a deep history of stirring indie rock' genre is PEACE. Signed to Columbia last week, their best track so far is the B-side to their "Follow Baby" single entitled "Li'l Echo." Basically, this Birmingham four-piece is already exploding overseas, so get ready for an American love affair to start soon.
